Day 1-Sunday, June 19th
Our first full day in Cannes was Sunday. I got in very late Saturday night after a mess of a travel day, so Sunday morning was my first time really seeing Cannes. When we woke up, my roommate and I met up with another one of our classmates and walked around a little to explore, and had a great breakfast at a small cafe near the festival grounds. We walked back to the hotel to meet up with the rest of the class for our walking tour of the area. We got to check out the Palais where the festival was being held and get our passes for the week. After the walking tour, our group had an amazing lunch together, and then I headed back for a nap because the jet lag was really doing me dirty.
After my much needed nap, I got ready for dinner. Our first night UM so kindly treated us to a beautiful dinner on the beach with our whole class. The views were so beautiful and everyone was so excited to be there and for what the week had in store. Not to mention, the food was also so amazing!
This night was one of my favorite nights of the trip, just because I was so excited and feeling so secure in my decision to come on the trip. It was such a beautiful night and the vibes were really just unmatched.
